Two things:

The song "Roxanne" performed by The Police. (My mom isn't from America and didn't know what the song was about at the time- and didn't know until I told her a year ago..)

And.. the movie "Roxanne" with Steve Martin in it.

haha! i wasn't named after the song or the movie, but my mom knew the song when she named me. she was originally going to pick Rosie - after my Dad's mom, Rosa - but then she thought that would be too common. i'm glad she picked Roxanne instead :D

i think i've seen the movie.. does it have to do with steve martin having a giant nose? haha....

anyway, it's a good name :)
